The FI/NA switch is switch #3.

The 4cyl/6cyl switch is switch #4.

The panels in the photo were made before I designed in the vacuum advance function.

    Exclamation

    John,
Im sure there are plenty of people out there who would applaud your decision to design a secondary device, turning the existing Safeguard into an Ultra Safeguard.

Otherwise, as shown above, there are going to be a lot of old Safeguards for sale.

    Your product is great!
    Thank you!

OK, for those of us with a JRSC. Is this unit better then the JR-BTC in the way it handles timing???

It's good to see you posting here again TJ.

I'm surprised your old password didn't work.

    Wow.. Badass.

Once funds permit i'll be using the Ultra with my B16A1... =-)

Excuse the stupid question but by the looks of the safeguard the installation seems pretty straight forward.

    Knock Sensor + & -
    TPS Signal?
    12v
    Ground
    etc..

Hope to use this in conjunction with the ENDYN charger. That is IF it ever comes out.... rolleyes

1QuickSi- This doesn't really do a "Better" job of timing retard then the BTC because it is basically working like a BTM in which it is going to take the timing out across the board all the way to the top. The BTC will take it out, yet put it back in where the timing retard isn't needed. So the BTC is somewhat like a reprogramed ECU with variable timing retard and timing advance features. Now what Ultra J&S box does do, is the job of a regular J&S plus BTM yet it differs because we can actually control when the timing is taken out, on top of the 0-20 percent rate of timing removal. So unlike the BTM and BTC, when can set the unit up to start taking timing out starting anywhere from 0-10 lbs of boost rather then 0 like all the others. The biggest problem with the regular J&S was everybody had to either make a choice 1)J&S=reactive or 2)BTM=proactive, or buy both. I chose to save my engine rather then do the guess work of tuning and having to hear the death tones (marbles in a can). Alot of people critized J&S because it was only reactive but now, this thing is gonna sell like hot cakes because it is both proactive and reactive in one little "Pretty Purple" box. Another thing is that you can't find a product that can do what the J&S does, and that is save your motor weather tuning or racing. I can't wait to see what John does for the upgrade, and those who do get their hands on a new one will be VERY pleased with the performance and features. Hope this helps
